Installation

The InspireMe Chrome Extension is available on the Chrome Web Store, so you can install it with a single click. As an open-source project, you can also build and install it directly from GitHub.

Recommended: Install from the Chrome Web Store

This is the simplest method and supports automatic updates.

Step 1: Open the Chrome Web Store Page

Visit the InspireMe page on the Chrome Web Store.

Step 2: Add to Chrome

Click [Add to Chrome], then choose [Add extension] in the permission prompt.

Step 3: Verify Installation

Once installed, opening a new tab will display the InspireMe quote screen.

Alternative: Install from GitHub (For Developers)

Use this method if you want to inspect the source or use the latest development build.

Step 1: Download the Extension

Go to the GitHub Releases page and download the latest zip file.

Step 2: Extract the Zip File

Extract the downloaded zip file to your preferred location.

Step 3: Open Chrome Extensions Page

Type chrome://extensions in the Chrome address bar to open the extensions management page.

Step 4: Enable Developer Mode

Toggle on "Developer mode" at the top-right corner of the page.

Step 5: Load the Extension

Click the "Load unpacked" button.

Step 6: Select the Folder

Select the folder you extracted in Step 2. The installation is complete.
